MIAMI – A teen who was nearly killed by a strike-and-run driver this previous summer months is speaking out as Miami-Dade law enforcement release new surveillance online video of the accident and a new graphic of the car or truck that was associated.
CBS Information Miami’s Peter D’Oench spoke with the 18-year-old target, Gallihano Continual, at the Miami apartment exactly where he life and wherever his mom has been getting treatment of him.
Continuous explained he was hospitalized for 22 days next the incident at Jackson Memorial Medical center.
“I really don’t try to remember something,” he said. “I blanked out when I was strike and went into a coma. I was on my way house from work at an Amazon warehouse where by I am an associate. I was knocked unconscious and when I woke up, it hurt.”
The new surveillance online video reveals what happened at 1:59 a.m. on July 15th at N.W. 35TH Ave. and N.W. 103rd St. Continual was likely eastbound on his scooter when police say the westbound motor vehicle produced a still left flip and struck him.
Miami-Dade Law enforcement Detective Angel Rodriguez mentioned law enforcement were being searching for a 2007 or more recent product Toyota Corolla SE that may perhaps have in depth damage.
“We have a special message to all those who have physique shops,” he mentioned. “This auto may have comprehensive injury to the right side and may have injury to the appropriate fender, passenger door and the passenger facet mirror could have arrive off.
