The day she was established to get an award recognizing her work endorsing inclusivity and social justice, Lizzo was yet again sued by a former staff who mentioned that powering the scenes, the entertainer lets bullying, harassment and racial discrimination. 

“I felt like I was residing in a madhouse,” fashion designer Asha Daniels, 35, advised NBC News the working day prior to she submitted her lawsuit from Lizzo and other users of the singer’s crew. “It was absolutely stunning.”

“I was listening to this Black female on this substantial stage have this concept of self-like and caring for many others and staying empathetic and becoming strong and standing up for other folks,” she claimed. “And I was witnessing myself, the dancers and the background vocalists and my nearby workforce in each individual town be harassed and bullied on a regular basis.”

The go well with, filed Thursday by legal professionals for Daniels in Los Angeles County Superior Courtroom, accused wardrobe supervisor Amanda Nomura of performing stereotypical impressions of Black ladies, referring to the performers as “fat,” “useless” and “dumb,” and forcing them to modify in front of a generally white, male phase crew who would “lewdly gawk” at them, the go well with claims.

Daniels was fired immediately after she complained about Nomura, according to the fit.

“Lizzo is the boss, so the buck stops with her,” Daniels’ lawyer, Ron Zambrano, reported in a statement Thursday. 

3 former dancers for Lizzo are suing the songs icon, her dance captain Shirlene Quigley and her output company, Big Grrrl Major Touring, Inc., saying they endured sexual and religious harassment and a hostile perform environment.
