Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have issued a joint assertion in the wake of news that they are divorcing.
“After 4 a long time of superb marriage we have mutually made a decision to amicably conclude our relationship,” reads the assertion posted Sept. 6 on both Jonas’ and Turner’s respective Instagram accounts.
“There are several speculative narratives as to why but, actually this is a united determination and we sincerely hope that everybody can regard our needs for privateness for us and our youngsters.”
Today.com solely acquired a petition for dissolution of relationship submitted by Jonas on Sept. 5 in Florida’s Miami-Dade County. The petition states that “the relationship amongst the get-togethers is irretrievably damaged.”
Jonas and Turner married in 2019 and share daughter Willa, 3, and a second daughter born in July 2022. They have not publicly exposed her identify and don’t post either child on social media.
The petition says the youngsters have been residing with Jonas. He also writes that “the relationship between the functions is irretrievably broken” and “it is in the greatest interests of the small children that the events have shared parental duty.” The petition also indicated he and Turner experienced a prenuptial agreement.
The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2017, but didn’t make their purple carpet debut until finally they walked the Louis Vuitton clearly show during Paris Vogue Week on Oct. 2, 2018.
