TALLAHASSEE – Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed a co-founder of Moms for Liberty, a “parental legal rights” group that has sought to take more than faculty boards in numerous states, to the Florida Commission on Ethics on Wednesday.
Tina Descovich was named to the 9-member, Tallahassee-dependent fee, which investigates alleged breaches of public belief by elected and appointed officials, as nicely as state staff members.
Descovich was previously elected to the School Board of Brevard County in 2016 and served as president of the Florida Coalition of College Board Users.
Mothers for Liberty commenced with Descovich and two other Florida gals battling COVID-19 restrictions in 2021.
