DORAL – The Labor Working day vacation Monday delayed pupils returning to Doral Academy K-8 Constitution College on NW 97th Avenue and working with the dying of a beloved trainer.
On Friday, their math and Spanish teacher, Maria Cruz died right after staying shot in her Palmetto Estates residence.
Miami-Dade police confirmed Monday that Cruz and a visitor to the household ended up shot by Cruz’s spouse, police said in a statement.
“The deceased victim and subject matter had been spouse and wife… the surviving victim who is in important condition is a spouse and children acquaintance.”
Three days right after the tragedy the couple’s distraught daughter asked for privateness.
When at Cruz’s constitution school, previous and present-day college students gathered Sunday for a memorial.
She was remembered for always being there and endearing herself much more as a mother determine than a trainer.
On her website web page, she warmly welcomed college students with a joyful message and invited them to look at the curriculum for the Algebra, geometry and Spanish classes she taught.
