MIAMI — Colombia extradited renowned designer Nancy Gonzalez to the U.S. for allegedly illegally transport items manufactured from the skins of endangered animals.

Gonzalez and her company husband or wife, Diego Rodriguez, who was also extradited, have been charged in Miami with conspiracy to import and provide wildlife versus the law and for smuggling items, in accordance to the Colombian Countrywide Police.

The alleged goods despatched to the United States – luggage, wallets and belts, amid some others – were designed of leather-based and animal pores and skin such as whales, snakes and alligators. The posts ended up then offered in prestigious luxurious outlets in the United States.

The Colombian Supreme Court of Justice endorsed the extradition of the designer last February.
