Pinecrest programs peacock vasectomies to suppress chook populace

MIAMI – The village of Pinecrest is in a peacock predicament.

The suburban neighborhood is becoming overrun by birds.

Neighbors complain the peacocks are driving them cuckoo, scratching up their households and automobiles and developing a mess on their driveways.

We identified several of the birds Wednesday, just north of Old Cutler Street.

In about a month from now, Pinecrest strategies to take element in a pilot software, hoping to curb the inhabitants by providing peacocks vasectomies.

Commissioner Raquel Regalado suggests if the vasectomy approach will work in Pinecrest, it could be applied in other communities, which includes South Miami and Coral Gables.
