MONROE COUNTY — The Sheriff’s Business office rescued a pilot soon after he built an unexpected emergency landing pursuing a smaller plane crash off Sawyer Essential on Sunday morning.
According to officials, there have been no lifetime-threatening injuries.
The pilot, who was by itself, was transported by Deputy Trevor Pike, in which he then waited for paramedics at Undertaking Out Resort on Cudjoe Important.
The pilot is identified as 40-calendar year-aged Adam Joseph Barney of Orlando, Florida.
Monroe County officers claimed the plane was an Aero Commander 500.
The U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also responded to the incident.
Aviation authorities are investigating how the crash occurred.
