MIAMI – A Miami police detective arrived beneath hearth when a SWAT crew was serving a search warrant early Thursday early morning.

He mentioned a SWAT group was there as nicely to execute a look for warrant and an arrest warrant.

Aguilar said the 40-calendar year-aged male is currently desired on 12 felony situations that occurred concerning December of very last calendar year and July of this 12 months. He additional that the suspect is a 16-time convicted felon who has been arrested 64 occasions on felony charges and 32 occasions on misdemeanor charges.

The felonies he is currently desired for include 8 burglaries, two grand theft automobile situations, and an armed theft.

“This morning as the SWAT workforce was executing the search warrant, a single of the property owners of an adjacent residence exited the home and discharged numerous rounds from a firearm at just one of our detectives. The detective fired back,” explained Aguilar.

Thankfully, neither were being wounded.

Aguilar stated the property owner then suffered a clinical episode and he was taken to the hospital.

“We don’t anticipate any felony expenses on the home owner,” he said.

The suspect, who had barricaded himself within a place, refused to appear out of the home for about 30 minutes. He at some point did surrender and he was arrested with no incident.
