MIAMI – Previous US Congresswoman Debbie Murcasel-Powell has introduced that she is operating for the US Senate in 2024 versus Rick Scott.
She made the announcement Tuesday morning on a web-site she released.
Murcasel-Powell, a Democrat, gained a seat in Congress in 2018 and represented the 26th Congressional District, which involves Monroe County and portion of Miami-Dade County.
She was the 1st South American immigrant member of Congress. She sat on the Judiciary Committee as perfectly as the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
She dropped the seat to previous Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez in 2020.
