MIAMI – Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Workplace are investigating the loss of life of a former NFL operating back who was using a motorcycle Sunday night when his bike collided with a car or truck in Lauderdale Lakes.
Investigators stated Alexander Collins, 28, who performed for the Seahawks and Ravens, died last Sunday at all-around 10:20 p.m., in close proximity to the 3300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard.
Detectives said Collins was traveling eastbound on a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600K motorcycle on West Oakland Park Boulevard approaching Northwest 33rd Avenue.
At the similar time, an grownup feminine was touring westbound in a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban SUV on West Oakland Park Boulevard.
“At some stage, the Chevrolet driver proceeded to flip left to vacation south on to Northwest 33rd Avenue. As the motor vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes, the motorcycle struck the rear passenger facet of the SUV. The impact prompted the motorcyclist to enter the rear passenger side window of the Chevrolet and occur to a final relaxation inside of the car or truck. The collision also caused the Chevrolet to rotate clockwise just before finally resting,” investigators stated.
Collins was pronounced dead at the website of the crash.
The driver of the SUV cooperated with the investigation.
Authorities continue on to look into the crash.
