MIAMI – Florida officials are wondering about charging the mom and dad of small children who have drowned.
They are precisely hunting at five drownings that just lately occurred in the Panama Town Beach place.
Law enforcement say in all the situations mother and father permitted their children to swim in the Gulf of Mexico inspite of double purple flag warnings.
The dad and mom ended up fined $500, but now, they could also confront child neglect rates.
“To me, it’s no different than getting a fireplace within of a household, and allowing for a kid to go above there that won’t know any risk to that hearth and letting them go above there and get their cell burned or leaving them household on your own with a hearth likely and anything undesirable took place,” reported Bay County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jason Daffin.
“You know, it is the adults, it truly is the adult’s obligation to protect their young children.”
Authorities explained they never normally resort to such actions.
