Anti-gun violence vigil held in Pompano Seaside to bring recognition, honor victims


MIAMI – Users of the Pompano Seaside Northwest Local community held an anti-gun violence vigil Friday night to carry consciousness to the “escalating menace of gun violence and to honor the victims.”

Organizers mentioned the function would be a time of “reflection, remembrance, and hope.”

Pompano Beach front elected officers, BSO Sheriff, Sabrina Fulton, Harold Pryor, Wayne Messam, the Divine 9 had been invited and had been expected to attend.

There had been speakers, performances, a candlelight vigil and a minute of silence honoring these who have dropped their lives to gun violence.  

The objective, in accordance to organizers, is to bring these challenges to the forefront and “unite as a group in discovering methods to protect against this sort of incidents from taking place in the upcoming.” 

The event was held at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, located in the 800 block of NW 8TH Avenue in Pompano Beach.
