(CBS DETROIT) – A 13-calendar year-aged Detroit boy has been billed in link to the fatal stabbing of a 14-year-previous Southfield boy, officials claimed.
The 13-yr-aged boy has been billed with 2nd-degree murder.
The stabbing occurred at about 9:16 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, in the space of Burnett Street and Burgess Avenue.
When officers arrived, they identified the 14-yr-old boy lying in the road with a stab wound to the neck. He was taken to a area clinic, where he was pronounced useless.
According to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office environment, the two boys allegedly were being included in an altercation, which escalated, and the 13-year-old developed a weapon and stabbed the victim.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
The victim’s mom spoke out about the stabbing and expressed her grief. She experienced talked to her son on the cell phone earlier that evening, not recognizing that would be their very last contact with each and every other.
