POMPANO Beach front — Officers have recognized the woman who was fatally struck by a Brightline educate in Broward County on Friday, releasing new facts bordering her death.
Broward County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Monday that 29-year-previous Dyanna Fernandez was struck by the educate owing to distracted walking.
According to detectives, the teach was touring southbound on the west observe approaching the crossing at Northeast 6th Avenue in Pompano Beach though Fernandez was strolling eastbound together the north side of Northeast 6th Street and approaching the crossing at the exact same time.
Witnesses advised detectives that Fernandez was utilizing her cell phone whilst walking all around the reduced sidewalk safety gate and continuing east throughout the tracks when the educate hit her. Paramedics pronounced her dead on the scene.
Targeted visitors on the northbound lanes of North Dixie Highway between Northeast 3rd Avenue and 6th Road was temporarily shut down on Friday early morning as a result. The investigation is continue to ongoing.
