MIAMI – A South Florida man is behind bars Monday accused of attacking a police officer.
George Theo Knowles is facing various expenses, such as attempted murder, aggravated battery, and trespassing.
Law enforcement say the 32-calendar year-previous was at a gasoline station in Miami over the weekend.
At one particular stage, the operator advised Knowles to leave, soon after accusing him of harassing consumers and aggresive panhandling.
A police officer responded to the scene when Knowles refused to go.
Which is when investigtors say Knowles lunged at the officer.
The officer suffered a damaged nose and a lower in the back of his head that required stitches.
Through his arrest, police say that Knowles explained to an additional officer, estimate, “I hope he dies.”
