The Duchess of Edinburgh expressed her condolences Wednesday after the loss of life of an 81-yr-aged female who was struck by a motorbike that was part of the U.K. royal’s law enforcement escort.
Sophie, the wife of Prince Edward, expressed her sympathies for the demise of Helen Holland, who was struck at a West London intersection on May 10.
“The Duchess of Edinburgh is deeply saddened to hear that Helen Holland has passed absent,’’ Buckingham Palace claimed. “Her Royal Highness’s deepest condolences and sympathies go to all of Ms Holland’s household.”
Holland’s son, Martin, advised the BBC that his mom died following sustaining “multiple broken bones and substantial inside accidents.” Holland, who is from Essex, had reportedly been visiting her more mature sister in London.
Her son reported she fought “for her existence for virtually two months … but irreversible problems to her mind at last finished the fight these days.”
The Impartial Place of work for Law enforcement Conduct is investigating the crash.
