FORT LAUDERDALE — Various activities have been held on Memorial Day Monday to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
At Lauderdale Park Memorial Cemetery, dozens of folks collected to go to a memorial support and one participant was Loaded St. John, who served during the Vietnam War.
“I just want every person to remember that flexibility is not free of charge,” he mentioned. “And there is a price tag.”
St. John was a communications professional with the Marines when he was stationed in the central coast of Vietnam. At other periods, even so, he was section of the mission to safeguard his base.

While he built it out alive, some of his fellow support associates, sadly, did not.
“I did eliminate a several mates there,” he claimed.
That’s why he thinks of those life dropped on Memorial Day and for the duration of a past honor flight.

Also on Monday, U.S. Army Sgt. LaDavid Johnson was honored for his sacrifice.

During a Memorial Day breakfast in Miami Gardens, his mother shipped an emotional speech to fork out tribute to her son.
“He was a single excellent son,” Samara Johnson mentioned. “He gave so substantially for his place, but he gave the exact for his relatives. and as i see my grandbabies developing up without the need of him, it hurts.”
