FORT LAUDERDALE — Crews in Broward County had been operating to clear up a compact spill and transfer 90,000 galloons of gasoline just after a targeted visitors incident resulted in a tanker truck overturning on Interstate 595, the Florida Freeway Patrol claimed.

The crash occurred at 9 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-595 just east of I-95 and resulted in crews closing all lanes of I-595 although they labored to upright the truck, remove the fuel and transfer the remaining fuel into a second trailer.
There were no reports of accidents but motorists have been warned to hope delays.
The incident prompted the closure of all lanes of I-595 east of I-95. Motorists have been urged to use Griffin Highway as a detour.
The sheriff’s place of work claimed motorists really should be expecting delays right until the condition was solved.
According to FHP, the entry to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Intercontinental Airport and to Port Everglades was remaining impacted by the incident.
FHP mentioned eastbound site visitors was becoming diverted to the Florida Turnpike and I-95 while westbound visitors was becoming diverted to southbound lanes of I-95.
The FHP also explained it planned to shut westbound I-95 at US Freeway 1 at Port Everglades.
