Nikki Beach proprietors just take City of Miami Beach front to court amidst landmark residence injunction


MIAMI Beach front – The entrepreneurs of Nikki Seaside filed for an emergency injunction to stop the Town of Miami Seaside from getting any motion about the landmark house.

The homeowners of Nikki Seaside previously filed a lawsuit against the metropolis and Boucher Brothers Miami Beach, LLC that accused the defendants of pursuing an “unfair, backdoor deal.”

Jack and Lucia Penrod opened Penrods in the area in 1985. 

The pair won a bid to lease and agreed on a concessions deal with the City of Miami Seaside. 

The Penrods invested much more than $4 million in the residence, in accordance to their lawsuit. 

The lease, which has been renewed at the very least two times, expires in three years.

Citing newspaper quotations and community meetings, the lawsuit submitted Friday claimed Miami Beach metropolis commissioners did not invite fair negotiations with the Penrods and others. 

As an alternative, the town prepared to give command around the house to Boucher Brothers, a firm that controls seaside rentals on the island, according to the lawsuit.
