FORT LAUDERDALE – The day just after their Edgewood residence was flooded, Tara Hardy and her husband Shilo Carney experienced to paddle their way in to get a Glance at the problems.

“it was surreal. Like living in a movie. You in no way imagine it will happen to you,” said Hardy.

Approximately every little thing they experienced was ruined, home furnishings, outfits, house goods. The couple is temporarily dwelling with Hardy’s mom and dad

The pair experienced rented their home for 10 a long time and has no insurance coverage. Their landlord had no flood insurance and her husband paddled their way into their Edgewood neighborhood to see what they could salvage.

Every thing they owned was floating.

Shilo Carney is continue to in shock. He is lived in the community for decades and the file rainfall was unprecedented.

“I was born in the clinic down the block. There have been various generations and almost nothing like this.”

The disruption is a strain on their 6-12 months-outdated daughter who lost her beloved Barbie dolls and their 9-12 months-aged son who wants to get back again to normal.

He misses receiving to university on time and his bunk bed.

Even with the disaster, Tara Hardy stays hopeful. “I am just happy we are safe and the most critical matter is we are together.”

The family members qualifies for FEMA assist and programs to look for aid.

They have also established up a gofundme account to try out to raise cash to replace home furnishings and clothes.
