COLORADO — A driver in Colorado tried using to keep away from a DUI arrest by swapping seats with his dog immediately after getting pulled around, law enforcement mentioned.
The gentleman was stopped by police around 11:30 p.m. Saturday for allegedly driving 52 mph in a 30-mph zone, the Springfield Law enforcement Division claimed in a post on Fb.
“The driver tried to swap spots with his doggy who was in the passenger seat, as the SPD officer approached and viewed the whole system,” the write-up explained. “The male social gathering then exited the passenger side of the motor vehicle and claimed he was not driving.”
The guy, whom police failed to identify, appeared intoxicated, and when asked by an officer if he’d been ingesting, he ran absent, the article explained.
He was apprehended about 20 yards from the automobile, law enforcement reported.
The male was taken to a clinic exactly where he was medically cleared, then booked into the Baca County Jail on expenses which include driving under the impact of alcohol and/or prescription drugs, rushing and resisting arrest, police stated.
The pet was handed over to a mate of the driver whilst he was in jail, the post claimed. “The pet does not face any fees and was allow go with just a warning.”
