MIAMI — Two suspects had been in custody after they fled the scene in the course of an attempted halt of a suspected stolen car or truck Thursday early morning, police said.
Investigators did not right away recognize the suspects but claimed they had been in their early 30s. Law enforcement did not immediately say what fees the pair would deal with or if bond has been set in the situation.
Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said police officers spotted a 2019 black BMW that was considered to be stolen just after a license plate reader flagged the car in the location of 10 Avenue and NW 79th Road.
The officers noticed the auto back again into a parking house in advance of they approached the car or truck with two suspects within, according to Zabaleta.
He reported the driver appeared to be reaching under the seat as the officers approached, prompting an officer to hearth at the car or truck, which drove away from the scene.
The two suspects inside of abandoned the motor vehicle and ran absent but had been taken into custody a brief time later on, law enforcement reported.
Investigators stated the two suspects were being wanted on remarkable warrants for unrelated prices.
