MIAMI – Miami is warm, but according to a new survey, it is really downright chilly when it comes to remaining kind.
AmeriCorps and the U.S. Census collected data from America’s 12 major metropolitan locations to rank metropolitan areas into two categories, informal supporting and formal volunteering.
The city of Miami ranked previous, or the very least useful.
According to the study, only 35% of Miamians are in the practice of encouraging or carrying out favors for other folks like serving to another person cross the street, keeping a doorway open, offering directions, or checking on isolated seniors.
Miami was also 3rd from last in membership in an firm, and 2nd to last in donating to a charity or groups.
