MIAMI – With drenching rain in the forecast for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez is urging residents to stay harmless.
On Twitter, the mayor posted that the city is checking the problem and will present updates as required.
In anticipation of what Suarez known as ‘record-significant rainfall’, he stated portable pumps have been established up in areas regarded for flooding, notably 501 NE 23rd Avenue, Morningside, and Mary Brickell.
He claimed they are also preparing to deploy Vactor/vacuum trucks to suck up flood waters exactly where wanted.
Town employees is actively cleaning storm grates and inspectors are checking construction web-sites to ensure that there is no overflow into the drainage procedure.
Suarez reported they are in conversation with the state’s transportation department regarding flooding together Biscayne Boulevard and the I-395 bridge. Some drivers in the region ended up remaining stranded in the substantial water from Monday’s rain.
