MIAMI – Jean Segura hit a game-ending RBI single, lifting the Miami Marlins to a 3-2 victory around the Chicago Cubs on Friday night.
Jorge Soler sparked the successful rally with a leadoff single. Michael Rucker (1-1) then plunked Luis Arraez and Avisaíl García right before Segura strike a grounder again up the center and as a result of a drawn-in infield for the successful hit.
A.J. Puk (3-) received a few outs for the earn. Chicago put two runners on with two out in the prime half of the ninth, but Nelson Velázquez bounced into a forceout at 2nd.
Miami enhanced to 8- in one particular-operate video games this time. The Marlins also are 3- in their teal jerseys this calendar year.
