HALLANDALE Beach front – A 93-year-aged Holocaust survivor is having completely ready to observe Passover, which starts off on Wednesday.
She shares her reflections on this holiday marking the exodus of the Jews from Egypt amid a rise in antisemitic assaults in recent months.
“I was born in the metropolis of Lodz Poland, at the age of 9 war broke out,” she stated.
Besserman and her loved ones were then compelled to go to a ghetto, that is an area wherever Jews ended up forced to live. To escape further more persecution her mom gave up her splendor salon outdoors of the ghetto for passage into the woods, exactly where the family hid in advance of escaping to Siberia.
