Fatalities of 2 pesticide personnel investigated, prompts evacuation at Broward furnishings warehouse


FORT LAUDERDALE — A furnishings warehouse in Pompano Seashore was briefly evacuated Tuesday as a precaution following two pesticide company employees who experienced been at the site past weekend experienced died and a 3rd fell sick, authorities claimed.

The Pompano Beach Hearth Rescue group checked the Baer’s Home furniture Warehouse constructing at 1589 NW 12th Ave. to determine if a substance at the internet site may have performed a part in the sickness and fatalities, a spokesman for the Broward County Sheriff’s Workplace reported.

Personnel within the developing were being evacuated but allowed to return about an hour afterwards.

In a published statement, a spokesperson for the furnishings enterprise reported, “No personnel of Baer’s has been wounded, and we have been cleared to return to the constructing and resume functions as typical.”
