Canes lovers welcome basketball crew returning from Remaining 4 decline in Houston


The University of Miami’s men’s basketball team been given a warm welcome upon arriving back again on campus from their vacation to Texas, wherever they played in the NCAA’s Final Four for the very first time in the team’s heritage.

Saturday night’s 72-59 reduction towards the UConn Huskies at NRG Park in Houston wasn’t the storybook ending that the Miami Hurricanes were hoping for, but lovers on Sunday’s cheered on the gamers on the Coral Gables campus, as they celebrated the team’s 2023 run.

7News cameras captured lovers cheering outdoors the Watsco Middle shortly soon after the gamers arrived.

UM men’s basketball head coach Jim Larrañaga created the “U” sign moments after he stepped off the bus.

“For us, to defeat Drake, Indiana and Houston, a No. 1 seed, Texas, a No. 2 seed, to execute what we did — obtaining to the Final 4 for the first time in the school’s background — is a little something to be quite happy of,” stated Larrañaga. “I’ve explained to our players, I’ve informed our supporters: this is a lifelong memory. You will never ever forget this.”

UM hosted a check out party for the recreation at the Watsco Middle on Saturday.
