MIAMI – A South Florida teen informed law enforcement he posted a threatening information to a school as a joke.
Turns out, that’s not funny and now he is been billed.
On Thursday, March 9th, Pembroke Pines police been given many phone calls about threatening textual content messages relating to Charles W. Flanagan Large Faculty.
Just one of the textual content messages, which was shared amongst learners, experienced the caption “Flanagans gonna get shoot up by magfag tomorrow” along with a photoshopped graphic of a cat holding a rifle.
The police department’s Menace Evaluation Team was in a position to determine the sender of the textual content as a 16-calendar year-previous
former college student of Flanagan Large College. They ended up also equipped to figure out, just after interviewing the teenager and his mom, that he was out of point out when the textual content messages had been claimed.
According to police, the teen said that “magfag” was the name of his cat, and that the text messages ended up meant as a joke.
Law enforcement said their investigation discovered there was no lively menace to the large college campus.
When the teen returned to Pembroke Pines, he was taken into custody and charged with Created
Threats to Perform a Mass Taking pictures, a felony.
Law enforcement say whether or not published as a joke or as a prank, all threats made versus our schools are taken critically
and will be investigated. Making threats of this nature is a severe offense and any person who commits these acts will be arrested and billed appropriately.
