The “People’s Choice Awards” is expanding.
On March 9, NBC declared the initial-ever “People’s Decision Country Awards” is set to air live from the entire world-renowned Grand Ole Opry phase in Nashville in September 2023 across NBC and Peacock.
The two-hour ceremony will “lean into the rich relationship amongst region new music and the Opry as a result of chart-topping musical performances, style-bending collaborations, legendary tributes and shock moments,” NBC uncovered.
With the “People’s Alternative Awards” becoming the only entirely supporter-voted award show, state music lovers and pop tradition fanatics will choose all the winners throughout numerous classes by way of online voting. Several honorary awards will also be bestowed for the duration of the telecast.
“We’re enthusiastic to associate with the Grand Ole Opry to provide the year’s major celebration in region new music to Nashville,” said Cassandra Tryon, Senior Vice President, Dwell Events, NBCUniversal Television & Streaming. “State admirers are passionate about their new music and you can find no improved area to host this party than from state music’s most significant stage.”

The “People’s Preference Country Awards” will extend to social platforms with All-Entry Live bringing lovers at dwelling a behind-the-scenes seem at the largest moments from the night time.
The 2022 “People’s Preference Awards,” hosted by Kenan Thompson, aired previous December and honored Hollywood icons like Ryan Reynolds, Shania Twain and Lizzo. (See all the winners listed here).
The telecast is created by Den of Thieves with Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Barb Bialkowski serving as Executive Producers.
