MIAMI – The mom of a just one-thirty day period-aged baby is going through baby neglect prices after remaining accused of leaving the youngster unattended inside a Miami Beach lodge.
Law enforcement recognized the girl as 25-calendar year-previous Maya Angelou Sherrod.
Authorities explained they were referred to as to the resort positioned in the 6000 block of Collins Avenue and when they arrived lodge staff members explained to law enforcement another person experienced heard a toddler crying from a single of the rooms. They advised police they knocked on the doorway many times and when they ultimately went in, they found the toddler all alone on the mattress.
Hearth rescue responded to the scene and handled the infant.
The arrest report says Sherrod informed officers she was below on holiday from North Carolina.
Law enforcement mentioned Sherrod left the infant by yourself in the area for two several hours.
The Division of Small children and People took custody of the infant.
Sherrod was taken into custody.
