MIAMI – Previous Miami Palmetto Senior High Faculty instructor Jason Meyers will be sentenced Tuesday just after he was discovered responsible before this yr of getting sexual intercourse with a scholar.
Prosecutors portrayed Meyers as a predator who employed sexual themes in his inventive writing course to entice a naive, then 17-year-outdated student into owning intercourse with him at least a few instances.
Meyers, 47, was arrested back in February 2016. He was married at the time and his spouse, who worked at the college, was pregnant. The pair also has three other children.
He was fired by the Miami-Dade university district subsequent his arrest.
Meyers faces life in jail.
