MIAMI— “Zinnia,” a 5-12 months-aged North American river otter, gave delivery to 3 pups at the Florida: Mission Everglades exhibit at Zoo Miami!
The zoo’s Animal Wellness and Animal Science crew worked alongside one another to conduct neonatal exams on the newborns to assist make sure they are receiving a healthier start to their new lives, according to the zoo’s Communications Director Ron Magill.

Zinnia and the pups will keep on being isolated driving the scenes to assure that they have nominal disturbances whilst they bond and develop.
Officials say “Edison,” the 7-yr-old father, arrived at Zoo Miami in October 2016 following being rescued and hand raised by a group referred to as Wild Florida.
In accordance to Zoo Miami, the father will be separated from Zinnia and the pups so that the mom can give her pups undivided consideration.
Zoo Miami officials say the pups will never be on public show for a number of months.
