MIAMI – A stand-off involving a law enforcement SWAT group finished with photographs fired and the loss of life of a barricaded 22-year-previous gentleman in northwest Miami-Dade.
Law enforcement were sent to the dwelling at NW 102nd Avenue and NW 13th Avenue “in regards to a probable domestic dispute exactly where just one of the associates of the spouse and children was threatening many others with a firearm,” claimed Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.
When officers arrived two spouse and children members were ready for them outside and advised them that the man was armed and nevertheless in the home.
Zabaleta stated the officers tried to make call with him but he barricaded himself in the house.
A Specific Response Group was identified as in alongside with negotiators.
As the SRT users surrounded the property, negotiators manufactured multiple attempts to get him to converse with them to no avail. This lasted for various hours.
“At the time it was determined to make entry into the property, that is when associates of our Distinctive Reaction Team experienced a confrontation with the suspect and pictures had been fired. The matter was regrettably deceased on the scene and none of the officers sustained any accidents,” claimed Zabaleta.
Police have not said if the barricaded gentleman shot at the officers.
The capturing by the SRT officer will be investigated by the Florida Department of Regulation Enforcement.
