Complete honors funeral service Monday for fallen Pembroke Pines police Officer Charles Herring

FORT LAUDERDALE – Household, close friends, and colleagues of fallen Pembroke Pines Police Officer Charles Herring collected Monday morning at Saint Bonaventure Church in Davie for a non-public assistance.

In the afternoon a full honors funeral services will be held at the Charles F. Dodge City Middle in Pembroke Pines. The support is open to the community.

The veteran 54-year-outdated motorbike officer died in the line of responsibility on February 9th.

Herring was struck by a falling palm frond on NW 184th Avenue, just south of Sheridan Road, which brought on him to shed control and crash. He was rushed for treatment method to Memorial Regional Healthcare facility, wherever he later on died.

Officers explained Herring had been with Pembroke Pines law enforcement for 22 many years and was the father of four children. His children and ex-wife have been with him at the clinic.

Herring is the initial officer to die in the line of duty at the Pembroke Pines Law enforcement Office.
