FORT LAUDERDALE — The Broward County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday that it has arrested a suspect in relationship with an attack before this month of a Jewish man who was punched though speaking Hebrew.
Tevin Grant, 28, is dealing with prices in connection with the Feb. 7 attack in Dania Seashore, in accordance to a written statement by the sheriff’s office.
It was not instantly apparent if bond has been established in the situation.
Officials explained final 7 days that the assault happened at 5:30 p.m. around the 2400 block of Stirling Road.
The gentleman informed detectives he was using his bicycle and conversing on the telephone in Hebrew when the suspect directed an antisemitic slur at him.
The suspect then punched the Jewish gentleman in the deal with just before he fell from the bicycle and to the floor, according to investigators.
The assault was caught on a surveillance digicam that was posted in the space.
Investigators turned to the general public to assist discover and find the suspect.
The string of video clips confirmed the suspect wearing a yellow beanie though a different movie showed him talking to someone at a corner bench.
The next confirmed the suspect knocking the sufferer off a bicycle, then standing close to the sufferer in advance of strolling absent. An additional clip showed the suspect arguing with witnesses doing work a construction occupation close by.
“I’m not scared,” the suspect yelled in the movie clip unveiled by investigators.
