PALM Coastline – A 21-foot killer whale died just after it beached alone in central Florida on Wednesday.
The orca landed on a beach front in Palm Coastline, about 60 miles south of Jacksonville.
A movie posted by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office environment showed the orca laying on its facet as waves splashed in opposition to it.
Researchers will not know how the whale ended up there or why it died.

“It could be environmental things. It could be some disease impression. It could be sound that could effects their equilibrium,” claimed Mase.
Crews from the Hubbs-SeaWorld Exploration Institute, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee, and the sheriff’s office ended up on hand to assistance get rid of the carcass so that a necropsy can be done.
This was the very first documented time an orca has at any time been seen beached this much south.
