New video clip demonstrates extraordinary migrant rescue at sea by Carnival Cruise crew


FLORIDA KEYS – New online video posted on social media exhibits the extraordinary moment a raft whole of Cuban migrants was noticed and rescued by a Carnival Cruise crew. 

The video shows the Carnival employees assisting the refugees stranded at sea onto the ship. This is raft is just one of dozens that have confirmed up in South Florida territory about the previous couple of times.  

“Your heart breaks for the men and women that are on the boats that are accomplishing it mainly because they put their lives in risk,” claimed Capt. Pete Jacobsen, who witnessed the migrants arriving.

Tuesday, dozens of Haitian migrants arrived in Key Largo, generating the hazardous journey on the sea to appear to America.  

“Haiti is really harmful,” Haitian migrant Amos Augustine told us, so he took his probabilities on the rough ocean.  He said it was properly worth it.   

Even with their difficult journey to go after the American Aspiration, their time in the U.S. could be short-lived.  

“If they never move that credible dread interview, obviously, they can go in entrance of a judge to evaluate that credible anxiety job interview and if it’s denied then, regrettably, they will be deported from the United States,” explained Jose Guerrero, an immigration attorney based in South Florida.

Guerrero claims migrants who get there in The usa illegally can request a credible dread interview by asylum officers to figure out if their claims of fleeing from persecution are legitimate. 

“if they never pass the credible concern job interview, they will be deported. It is called expedited removing, we’re speaking about 30 to 40 or possibly 45 days right before they will be returned, but if they go the credible dread interview then they could be released into the general public. And then, it will take decades for them to go in front of an immigration decide to have his or her asylum situation read from the judge,” said Guerrero.

Regardless of the challenges, migrants are showing up in droves to South Florida and according to U.S. Border Patrol,  the Miami sector has witnessed a 400% raise in migrant encounters given that October 1, 2022. 

The Homeland Security Undertaking Pressure is also inquiring loved ones members of migrants inquiring about their loved ones’ whereabouts to contact their area U.S. representative’s place of work.
