MIAMI – The National Transportation Basic safety Board is investigating why the pilot of a single motor Beechcraft A23 built an emergency landing on the Rickenbacker Causeway late Saturday.
It happened about 5:20 p.m. in the vicinity of the Rickenbacker Marina. The plane’s wing clipped a Miami-Dade transit bus on its way down, in accordance to the FAA.
The four men and women onboard the plane. No 1 on it or the bus was injured.
The airplane came to relaxation partially on a sidewalk and roadway.
The entrance to the causeway was shut to targeted traffic for quite a few hours until the plane could be eliminated from the highway.
The plane has been taken to a hangar in Fort Pierce for the investigation.
The NTSB has opened an investigation. The standing and identify of any individual onboard will be unveiled by regional authorities.
A preliminary accident report is anticipated in 2-3 months.
