“Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner was unable to go to tonight’s Golden Globes – and settle for his award for Most effective Efficiency by an Actor in a Tv Collection, Drama – due to the ongoing extreme temperature scenario in his wealthy Southern California neighborhood of Montecito, California.
“Search, I am so sorry to any one who could possibly be tuning in to observe the Golden Globes,” Costner said in a movie posted on Instagram. “Yesterday, we had to pull the young ones out of college. And, in Santa Barbara, this is the next time in five years that the city, the freeways flooded out, and we found ourselves on the wrong side of the town, and we couldn’t get back final night time. We couldn’t even get back again to the home this morning in time, and with the freeways closed, no one is sadder than us that we are unable to be there at the Golden Globes.”
Costner is referencing a devastating 2018 storm that caused massive mudslides and flooding in Southern California. And far more lately, the past couple of days have introduced historic rainfall to Souther California, primarily in the coastal neighborhood of Montecito.
Comic Ellen DeGeneres posted a online video of the raging floodwaters in her Montecito backyard, which she said were being at minimum 9 ft large.
The Montecito local community, which also features residences for stars such as Prince Harry and Oprah, was ordered to evacuate in advance of the rainfall about the past 48 hrs.
“I am just so sorry that I couldn’t be there. I definitely needed to,” Costner stated in his movie. “Thank you for your assist, and I am actually sorry about this. I hope we are invited back.”
