It can be a day established apart to honor the memory of the terrific civil rights icon with celebrations, neighborhood outreach, and ongoing advocacy for justice. 

Right here is how you can rejoice over the weekend. 

SATURDAY JANUARY 14TH

Get into Everglades Nationwide Park for no cost on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

US Nationwide Parks to waive entrance expenses for MLK getaway and 4 other days in 2023

10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oakland Park Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration – The City of Oakland Park honors and celebrates the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with performances and things to do for that can be loved by families.

MONDAY JANUARY 16TH

9:30 a.m. Ft. Lauderdale Martin Luther King Parade  
The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. from Sistrunk Boulevard and NW 5th Avenue, then heads west alongside Sistrunk Boulevard, and then north on NW 15th Avenue ending at Carter Park.

Pursuing the parade, a multicultural pageant will be held in the park. 

9 a.m. Tamarac Park celebrates Martin Luther King Day with a unity march 

The MLK March starts at 9 a.m. at Tamarac Park, at 7501 N. College Travel.

 The march will finish at Tamarac Metropolis Hall, situated at 7525 NW 88th Ave. 

There is a totally free shuttle services that will be readily available to bring individuals back to Tamarac Park.

11 a.m.- 12 p.m. Miramar Parade and Festival

The parade kicks off at 11:00 am. Right after it, there will be a pageant at Lakeshore Park. The competition capabilities a selection of foodstuff sellers, stay tunes, and other entertainment. The MLK Pageant and will be headlined by R&B artist Michael Sterling.  

 Lakeshore Park is situated at 8501 S. Sherman Circle.

10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Metropolis of Plantation Martin Luther King Working day celebration 

301 NW 46th Ave., Plantation, FL 33317.

8-10 a.m. The Town of Boca Raton group breakfast 

There will be a neighborhood breakfast at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 220 Ruby Road, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Soon after breakfast, there will be a neighborhood wander to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. monument at Mizner Park Amphitheater where there will an afternoon of celebrations.

11 a.m.- 5 p.m. City of Miami Dr. Martin Luther King Jr parade and actions   

The Town of Miami Martin Luther King, Jr. parade travels alongside NW 54th Street from NW 12th Avenue to NW 19th Avenue, then carries on west on 54th Road into Miami-Dade County’s jurisdiction.
