Allegations claim Surfside mayor violated town constitution, most likely point out law

MIAMI – Previous thirty day period, in a 24 hrs span, three high-profile town officials resigned — just one soon after the other.

On Tuesday evening, at the Surfside commission meeting, previous mayor Charles W. Burkett gave a presentation boasting the latest mayor compelled all 3 out. Burkett introduced allegations the mayor violated the town constitution and potentially point out law.

The now-previous Town Manager, Andy Hyatt resigned on December 13th.  Burkett claimed Hyatt arrived to operate “delighted and in the vacation spirit anticipating he may well be provided a raise.”  Burkett ongoing by stating Hyatt was “blindsided by threatening requires to resign by the mayor.”

The subsequent working day assistant town manager Jason Greene and law enforcement chief Rogelio Torres provided their resignations.  Burkett claimed Danzinger fired both of those.

Mayor Danzinger did not react to the allegations all through the conference.

Other commissioners commented, expressing they obtained Hyatt’s resignation in advance of the meeting on December 13th.
