BOYNTON Beach – The Boynton Seaside Police Division has declared the tragic off-obligation dying of a decorated veteran officer.
According to the department, Dennis Castro was associated in an off-responsibility car or truck incident, sustaining critical accidents that claimed his everyday living.
“Currently is my hardest day as Main of law enforcement,” Main Joe DeGiulio stated. “Officer Castro’s company and motivation to the Boynton Seaside Law enforcement Office and to the neighborhood we serve was definitely amazing. The full Boynton Beach Law enforcement Division is honored to have served together with Officer Castro, who was a good friend and hero to all.”
Castro, who was a United States Marine Corps veteran, served the Boynton Beach front Police Division for 14 many years. He labored as a member of the SWAT workforce, the DUI endeavor pressure and as a traffic murder investigator.
In addition to currently being awarded Officer of the Thirty day period numerous times by the office, he was also voted Officer of the 12 months in 2021 by the Palm Beach County Commission’s Sufferer Providers and Certified Rape Disaster Heart.
Castro is survived by his spouse and two small children.
