TALLAHASSEE— One particular male was killed and 4 some others, including a teen, were being damage for the duration of a Sunday night capturing on the campus of Florida A&M University, authorities stated.
According to initial studies, no college students were being included in the taking pictures, which occurred close to 4:30 p.m. at an out of doors basketball courtroom close to the campus recreation middle on Wahnish Way.
The disorders of the sufferers ranged from significant to insignificant. Officers did not immediately recognize the victims but mentioned one of the victims was a juvenile.
FAMU President Dr. Larry Robinson stated in a written statement to WCTV Information that there was not an ongoing menace to campus.
“The protection and safety of our learners and the campus is our greatest precedence,” he said. “The FAMU Campus Safety Division is doing work with the Tallahassee Police Division as the investigation carries on. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.”
Learners have been in the beginning requested to shelter in position but the buy was later lifted.
It was not straight away obvious if a suspect is in custody in connection with the shootings.
