TALLAHASSEE – Ordinary gasoline costs across Florida have amplified 10 cents right after the state’s month-lengthy fuel tax “vacation” ended.
That is according to figures posted Wednesday by the AAA car club.
The normal price tag of a gallon of common unleaded gasoline was $3.39 on Wednesday, up from $3.29 on Monday and Tuesday.
The tax holiday getaway authorized motorists to stay away from shelling out a 25.3-cent-a-gallon point out gas tax in the course of October. The biggest Monday-to-Wednesday increases ended up in Gainesville and Jacksonville, in which common selling prices went up 15 cents.
AAA had warned that rates would raise as the vacation ended.
“So it stands to reason that when the gasoline tax is reinstated on Tuesday, motorists will see a 25-cent soar at the pump,” AAA explained in a news release Monday.
Nationally, the regular rate increased by a penny Wednesday to $3.77.
