MIAMI – A man has been arrested for attempting to steal a foods truck in Critical Largo, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies stated.
Authorities determined the guy as Steven Wayne McClelland, 42, who was charged with tried grand theft of a motor car or truck, possession of amphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident was documented to law enforcement at around 6 a.m. in the parking ton on the 10100 block of the Overseas Highway.
Witnesses explained to law enforcement they observed a guy performing erratically though driving all-around in a foodstuff truck. They advised law enforcement that it appeared like he was attempting to steal the truck.
Police claimed McClelland was backing his vehicle up to the foodstuff truck when they arrived and later admitted that he was trying to steal the food items truck.
Authorities reported they uncovered a glass pipe with a compact quantity of amphetamine in McClelland’s possession.
He was taken to jail.
