BROWARD – On Tuesday, Broward County Commissioners selected a new mayor and vice mayor.
The Broward Board of County Commissioners picked District 4 Commissioner and previous Vice Mayor, Lamar P. Fisher to provide as mayor.
Commissioner Nan Abundant has been selected to provide as vice mayor.
The Broward County Constitution stipulates that Commissioners, elected from solitary-member districts, vote per year in November for the placement of mayor and vice mayor.
Before in Tuesday, outgoing Mayor Michael Udine delivered the 2022 Yearly State of the County Deal with and described the Point out of the County as “solid.”
Udine said commissioners handed a well balanced $6.9 billion price range for FY23 without having increasing house taxes and greater the residing wage for workforce and outsourced contractual staff executing enterprise with the county.
Udine will continue on to serve the residents of District 3.
