MIAMI – A male with a gun was shot by an Opa-locka law enforcement officer Monday evening when he refused to follow commands, in accordance to the city’s law enforcement main.
It occurred just after 8 p.m. in the space of NW 147th street and 22nd courtroom.
In accordance to law enforcement Chief Scott Israel, they got a connect with about a male going for walks all around with a gun. An officer responded and ordered the guy to quit, but the man refused. The officer, in his marked vehicle, followed the person to a warehouse spot. Other officers arrived and the gentleman once more refused to stop. That is when, Israel mentioned, just one officer shot the person.
He was taken to the hospital with non-lifestyle-threatening injuries.
The Florida Office of Law Enforcement will examine the shooting.
