CHICAGO (CBS) — The Mega Tens of millions winner has arrive ahead, pretty much eight months following the historic drawing.
Illinois Lottery officers verified the $1.34 billion jackpot will be split in between two men and women who agreed to share the prize if won.
“The winners would like to continue to be anonymous, and the Illinois Lottery is unable to share any facts about the winners besides to say that they have to be unquestionably “more than the moon” with their Mega Tens of millions get,” Illinois Lottery officers said.
As CBS 2 noted, anyone bought a winning Mega Tens of millions ticket really worth $1.3 billion at a Des Plaines fuel station. The ticket remained unclaimed until eventually Wednesday.
Lottery officers reported the two winners put in the previous couple weeks operating with skilled legal and monetary advisors, and have made the decision to consider a lump sum payment of $780.5 million.
The $1.34 billion jackpot was the 3rd biggest lottery acquire in U.S. heritage.
